I have adopted two cats, my loves, from NBFA over the years. Ollie is my sweetie today. Stormy went to kitty heaven. One seriously injured, both older cats, little hope for adoption, no second chance, but NBFA took that chance. They speak the truth. There are thousands of animals out there that are rescued due to injury or neglect. Abuse is the most horrific but one of the saddest is abandonment, the novelty grows old, boredom sets in, the love dies. 'Throwaways'. "It's just a dog" or "It's just a cat". A discarded toy. Or tragically, the owner dies and the pet is left homeless and alone, sad and confused. There are also many people out there who are lonely or who have lost beloved pets and their hearts are breaking. I speak from the heart. Won't you please consider donating today. The smallest donation truly can fill many hearts with hope and joy. There is no donation too small. Please.
