Meet Brooke! A 2 year-old Yorkie/Poodle mix who weighs 8 pounds. She is a bubbly, bouncy, energetic, happy girl. She is a going to need an experienced owner and a strong leader. Brooke is a smart girl and learns quickly, but she can be stubborn and likes to get her own way. She gets along with other dogs, but can be dog selective so we feel she would be better as the only dog in the home. She tends to bark when she first meets other dogs so a proper introduction is necessary. Brooke loves to sit in your lap and cuddle with you.
Because of Brooke’s bossiness we will not adopt her to a home with children under the age of 15. Brooke would do well in a home with a yard. Brooke is house trained and crate trained.
Brooke had luxating patellas (trick knee), which is a condition where the kneecap slips out of its normal position. It is common in smaller breeds and she was most likely born this way. She had surgery to correct it and she is on restricted activity for the next few weeks, but will make a full recovery.
